NYKR2 series thermal overload relay is a protection device used to protect motors, and its main function is to detect whether the current of the motor exceeds the rated value during operation. Its working principle is trigger the protection based on the heat generated by the current through its control circuit. When there is an overload, it controls the switching devices to protect the line against overload. The thermal relay can effectively protect the motor from damage under abnormal conditions and prolong the service life of the motor. It’s widely used in industry and other fields, it can realize intelligent control and management.
Thermal relay has simple structure and it utilizes mechanical action based on the principle of physical thermal expansion, which makes them very reliable with a low fault rate.
Compared with other types of protective devices, thermal relays have lower cost and are easy to install and maintain, which are suitable for applications at all scales.
Most thermal relays can be automatically reset when they cool down to normal temperature after triggering the protective device and being powered off, which is conducive to continuous operation and reduces downtime.
Thermal relays have an inherent feature of time delay that allows them to wait for a motor to overload in a short period of time, which is useful in avoiding unnecessary and frequent tripping.
By appropriately setting the thermal relay, it is possible to respond to a specific current, enhancing the overall protection strategy of the system.
Thermal relays are not susceptible to external electromagnetic interference, and its performance enables relatively stable operation under various environmental conditions.

NYKR2-F150 mounting base (free-standing) is independently guide rail mounted with NYKR2-F150 body, NYKR2-F150 mounting base (combined) is mounted in combination with NYKR2-F150 body, and can be directly connected with NYKC2-115, NYKC2-150 AC contactors.
